Tuition
2010-2011 Rates The board of trustees for Rapid City Christian School is aware that tuition can be a prohibitive factor for families considering a Christ-centered education for their children. With that in mind, they strive to keep tuition as low as possible while still maintaining an exceptional faculty and an increasingly impressive facility. Additionally, for those not sure they can afford tuition, RCCS is able to provide the Tuition Assistance Scholarship (TAS) program, which assists approximately 20 percent of students enrolled. It may be applied for after the enrollment process is complete and all application and registration fees are paid. A two-step tuition assistance application is required before assistance will be considered. The maximum financial aid awarded is 50%. Application Fee (one time)
The application fee applies to new students only, is due with the initial application, and is non-refundable.
Registration Fees (annual)
The registration fee includes student activity fee, yearbook, program development fee, ACSI membership fee, and testing fees. Registration fees are due at the time the acceptance letter is received. Payment of registration and application fees insures a position in a particular grade. Registration fees are non-refundable in the event of a withdrawal.
Re-enrollment procedureFor a student to re-enroll for the following school year, a re-enrollment form must be completed and returned to the school with the applicable registration fee by March 1. At least one half of the registration fee must be paid with the re-enrollment. The second half will be due the first of the following month. The school opens enrollment to new students March 1. The pastoral reference must be received by June 1 to insure re-enrollment for the following year.
Tuition and book fees
Book fee: For all grades, an annual, non-refundable book fee of $150.00 is due October 1. All tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month and past due on the 10th. After the 10th a late fee of $20.00 will be assessed on all outstanding balances. If an account reaches 60 days past due without written agreement with the school the student is subject to suspension until the account is current.
Additional Fees
Withdrawal PolicyIn the event that a student is to be withdrawn, a 10-day notice must be given to the school office, and the student must complete a withdrawal form. The application, registration, and book fees are non-refundable. The school account must be paid in full before any information, transcripts, report cards, or records will be released.
